We’re all about making your time on the water as easy and enjoyable as possible. Rent a pontoon to soak up the sun on Gull Lake, explore Lake Michigan on a center console, or enjoy a peaceful kayak adventure along the shore. Whatever you choose, we’ve got the boat waiting for you!

How Our Boat Rentals Work

If you’re in the mood for a relaxing pontoon ride, a little workout on a kayak, or an exciting day with family and friends on a pontoon or tritoon, we’ve got options for you!
2. Book Your Boat
Our rentals are ready to accommodate your needs! Choose from our 4-hour or 1-day rentals and pay online using the links below, or give us a call to arrange a long-term rental.
3. Get Ready to Hit the Water
Our team will give you a quick safety briefing, help you with any last-minute questions, and get you set to go. Then you’ll be all set to cruise, paddle, or relax on the water!
4. Go Have Fun!
Enjoy your time on the water and make sure to take lots of pictures. We love seeing them on socials, tag us at #gulllakemarine or @gulllakemarine
5. Wrap Up & Head Home
Once you’re done, return the boat, and settle up on any fuel costs. We’ll take care of the cleaning, refilling and covering. Boating the Easy Way!

Requirements

Age Requirement: You must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license.
Experience: Basic boating experience is required for pontoon rentals.
Damage Deposit: A $500 damage deposit is required at the time of rental.
Fuel: Renters are responsible for the fuel used while boating, with payment due at the end of your rental

We offer sunscreen, sunglasses, and many other lake essentials. We look forward to your visit, which will provide a great experience for you and the family. Below is a copy of the Policies and Contract you will agree to prior to renting. 



POLICIES
  1. CUSTOMER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE DONE TO EQUIPMENT
  2. Drivers must bring a valid driver’s license & major credit card for a $500 damage deposit.
  3. GASOLINE on all rentals- 4 hours is a flat fee of $25, and 8 hours is a flat fee of $40 is included in the booking. Tank is full at departure and will be refueled upon return. Additional usage during the rental period to be paid at the time of return in addition to the flat rate fees.
  4. SAFETY GEAR Jackets, throw cushion, fire extinguisher, and anchor & line are not to be used for any purposes other than in an emergency.
  5. Any equipment misused must be paid for in full. We provide safety equipment for pontoons, with the exception of infant vests.
  6. Anyone under the age of eight must always wear a life vest.
  7. We do not allow cooking/grilling on the pontoons.
  8. AGE LIMIT: You must be 21 to rent and drive rentals with a valid driver's license.
  9. PETS: 1 pet (DOG FRIENDLY) allowed on pontoons. Any damages from the pet are treated the same as a boater.
  10. CLEANLINESS: Any boats returned extremely muddy and dirty, with food bits and trash strewn about, will be subject to an additional $25 cleaning charge.
  11. PAYMENT: A credit card is required to reserve a pontoon.
  12. CANCELLATION NOTICE: A 24-hour notice on daily rentals and a one-week cancellation notice for weekly rentals are required to avoid NO SHOW CHARGES on your credit card.
  13. PER MICHIGAN LAW: The vessel Captain MUST remain sober. ALCOHOL, DRUGS, CANNABIS, hallucinogens, or mind altering substances are prohibited for the "Designated Driver/Captain" the entire time of the rental. The Captain is also responsible for all of the soles on the vessel. The same number of people that leave the dock, must return with the rental.
  14. The Captain must have a usable cell phone on and available during the rental. The dock master may need to contact your vessel back in for weather or emergency.
  15. Late Returned Rental: The Captain must call in if they know they will be late. Charges will be assessed for every 15 minutes the vessel is past the return time. Manage time appropriately and acknowledge the "no wake" rules when estimating return timing.
  16. WEATHER: In the event of possible bad weather, PLEASE call to confirm. Gull Lake Marine follows all NOAA small boat advisories, high wave threats and dangerous currents. We will do our best to contact you and need you to contact us in order to reschedule or receive a refund.
CONTRACT AGREEMENT

Security Deposit: Upon arrival, a security deposit of $500.00 will be required. The deposit can be a force on a credit card or be held in cash. The security deposit will be returned after the rental boat is checked out for damage and rental bill is paid.

A major credit card authorization (VISA MasterCard) or CASH in the amount of five hundred dollars ($500.00) shall be retained by the LESSOR as partial compensation for failing to return said rental craft in good condition, ordinary wear and tear excluded, as when received; for reimbursement of articles damaged, missing, or broken; or to be applied to the rental charges upon return of craft by LESSEE.

LESSEE agrees not to use nor permit the use:

  • a. Of the rental craft for any unlawful purpose;
  • b. Of the rental craft carelessly or negligently;
  • c. Of the rental craft while under the influence of liquor or narcotics or any other drugs,
  • d. By any other person not the signatory of the agreement, or not equally qualified.

I (We), the LESSEE (S), am/are experienced and capable in all aspects of the handling and operation of a craft such as the one rented above. LESSEE agrees that said craft will not be occupied by a greater number of persons than shown in this rental agreement. I, the LESSEE (S), am/are aware of the NO WAKE areas and am/are responsible for any damage caused by my wake.

The LESSEE acknowledges he/she has carefully examined the craft and finds it suitable for the purpose for which it is leased, and that or other accessory equipment is in suitable and acceptable condition: that he/she will maintain both craft and equipment in a safe, dependable condition while in he/she has custody.

Lessee acknowledges his/her responsibility for the safe and proper operation of the craft and for the safety and welfare of other boaters, persons, and passengers. It is AGREED AND UNDERSTOOD BY LESSEE that the LESSOR shall not be held liable for damages, inconvenience, or time lost caused by accident, breakdown, or malfunction of the rental craft. LESSEE FURTHER AGREES to indemnify and hold harmless the LESSOR and its agents, affiliates, and personnel from and against any and all claims for loss of or damage to property or injury to persons (including death) resulting through the use, operation, or possession of said rental craft. LESSEE further agrees to hold the LESSOR harmless should loss or damages occur to any LESSEEíS personal property while carried in, or on, the rental craft, including loss or damage by fire, water, theft, or any other causes whatsoever.

LESSEE expressly agrees to indemnify and hold LESSOR and its agents, affiliates, and personnel, harmless of, from, and against any and all loss, cost, damages, attorney fee, and/or liability in connection with the enforcing of the forgoing rental contract by LESSOR, including expense incurred in connection with attempting to collect delinquent rent and in the event of suit by LESSOR, to recover possession of said rental property and/or to enforce any terms, conditions and/or provisions hereof. It is understood and agreed that the Venue and any action hereunder shall be in the county of LESSOR.

In the event of malfunction, breakdown, or if any defect is discovered after acceptance of the rental craft, the LESSEE will immediately report it to the LESSOR. Continued use of it shall be entirely at the LESSEEíS risk. Thus, LESSEE assumes all liability for injury and damage to all persons and property that may become involved by its continued use.

LESSOR reserves the right to cancel this rental agreement due to inclement or impending bad weather. Rental fees will be prorated based on the time used.

Should any term or condition of the Rental Agreement be held void or unenforceable, then that term shall be deemed severed from this Agreement and the unenforceable, then that term shall be deemed severed from this Agreement, and the enforceability and the remainder shall not be affected, and will remain in full force and effect.

THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THIS CONTRACT CONTAIN THE ENTIRE UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE LESSEE AND LESSOR, AND NO OTHER REPRESENTATION OR INDUCEMENT, ORAL OR WRITTEN, HAS BEEN MADE THAT IS NOT INCLUDED IN THIS RENTAL AGREEMENT. I (WE) HAVE READ ALL OF THE AGREEMENT AND FULLY UNDERSTAND THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS AS SET FORTH.
